Vineta is a quality potato with good tolerance to drought, good resistance to conventional scab and has generally good adaptability.

The vineta has tubers that are round-oval in shape with shallow to medium shallow eye depth. The flower is yellow with a partially exposed mesh. The color of the meat is light yellow. This variety is characterized by a high yield of uniform, marketable tubers.

Resistance: This variety is characterized by very high resistance to most of the plant pathogens, except for the causative agent of the potato scab, indicating medium resistance.

Purpose: The variety is intended for the production of quality and tasty potatoes, which is very well stored until the next spring.

Recommendations for growing: Vineta is a medium demanding variety both in terms of soil quality, as well as in terms of irrigation and fertilization, which, if products with excess nitrogen fertilizers prolong their vegetation and deteriorates good storage properties.

Planting: A range of 28-30 centrimetres (~ 47,000 plants / hectare) is recommended with a standard planting depth.

Preparation: Stimulation by germination is generally beneficial.

Herbicides: Sensitive to metribusin, so application should be avoided after emergence.

Fertilization: Good soil is 100-120 kilograms / hectare of nitrogen, 120-140 kilograms of phosphorus, 160-180 kilograms / hectare of potassium. Additional fertilization with magnesium ensures yield and quality.
